Re-enactor Redcoats pitched tents to re-create Brits camping on the Common as they did in the 1775 siege of Boston to mark the 50th anniversary of the city's Freedom Trail.
A weekend of activities (August 15-17) featured free demonstrations of activities in a British 18th-century camp, from musket-firing and cannon drills to a cricket game. For more on the trail, see TheFreedomTrail.org.
