In Small Towns Hit By Twisters, 'You Feel Ignored' (NPR)

From NPR's Morning Edition:

Nobody, I don't think, knew it hit Hackleburg, because there's this TV station that a lot of us watch in this area, and someone called in and told him, you know, 'Well, what about Hackleburg?' And he said, 'Well, what about Hackleburg?' We're such a small community and a small town, nobody's ever heard of it. And they didn't know."

"People know Tuscaloosa, they know Birmingham," says state Sen. Roger Bedford. But, he says, what people don't know is that dozens of small communities like Hackleburg, Phil Campbell and East Franklin were also hit by tornadoes.
